Earlier this year, a Central Florida family knew they were badly in need of a total kitchen renovation. Homeowner Rick Colon explained, “My wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen because our existing one was dated and dark, and the layout wasn’t well-suited for entertaining. We knew that changing the layout would also mean that we would have to replace the flooring, so we looked for a company we could trust to do it all. Yeager & Co. Inc. was our first choice because we knew they had the resources and expertise to complete the job with excellence. I was very impressed with owner, Jim Yeager. He was very responsive to our needs and gave our remodel the attention it needed. I never felt like he was rushing off to the next job.”
The island is one of the focal points in this kitchen. It features sleek cabinetry with an espresso finish and a lighting feature underneath the countertop. You’ll notice the island is at counter height rather than the traditional high-bar style. The reduction in height is trending right now, and it makes the space more atmospheric and makes the island a more welcoming place to gather. It also allows for more comfortable seating.
One of the issues the customer wanted to address during the remodel was the walkway in the kitchen area. The island was placed at an awkward angle and made for a very tight walkway. During the remodel, the island was repositioned to add more space to the walkway and make the whole room feel more spacious.
Wide-planked, rustic maple flooring that replicates the old English pub style was installed into the entryway of this home. The warm hue of the wood adds color and character without making the space feel dark.
Yeager and Co. Inc. turned this dated Mediterranean-style kitchen into something spectacular. The new stacked cabinetry is a beautiful shade of white that adds an inviting sense of light to the room without feeling stark. The unsightly pantry doors were replaced to match the new cabinetry, as well. Along with the updated cabinets and color scheme, the renovation added lots of new light fixtures to brighten the room. If it’s not lit, it’s not there!
A simple change in the layout of the kitchen transformed the space. The angled island once divided the kitchen and eating nook. The new open floor plan helps make the island a cohesive part of the room. It creates a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere and gives the option of entertaining a larger number of people in the room at once, or keeping it cozy and eating at the island.
You’ll also notice that the same English pub-style maple flooring that was installed in the entryway extends into the kitchen as well, creating a sense of continuity and warmth throughout the home. With Yeager & Co. Inc, you can expect quality in both their flooring products and in their installation and customer service.
The sleek white cabinets feature a java glaze that adds a lot of character and warmth to the room. The glaze matches the floor and pairs perfectly with the espresso cabinetry on the island. The backsplash tile is a real highlight and features a gorgeous glass mosaic that is both functional and beautiful.
The finished kitchen accentuates the beauty that flows throughout the home. The same sense of light and warmth that are reflected in the kitchen extend throughout the other rooms. Everything is cohesive and neutral, exactly as the customer hoped it would be.
Mr. Colon summed up his experience: “We are very pleased with the new kitchen. We would use Yeager & Co. Inc. again and would recommend them to others. In fact, we are now considering hiring them to completely remodel our master bath.”
